Using this website
These terms apply to your use of the website operated by Code + Carbon ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the site, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
The website provides information about our website development, custom software, and AI development services. You may browse it and contact us about a potential project for lawful purposes.
Project inquiries and client work
Sending an inquiry or discussing an idea does not create a client relationship, reserve availability, or commit either party to a project. Scope, fees, payment terms, schedules, ownership, confidentiality, and other terms for paid work are established in a separate written agreement.
If a signed client agreement conflicts with these website terms, that agreement controls the client engagement. General website descriptions are not a promise of a particular result or delivery date.
Information you submit
Provide accurate contact information and only submit material you have the right to share. You retain ownership of your submitted material and allow us to use it to evaluate your inquiry and communicate with you about it.
The inquiry form is not intended for passwords, payment-card details, sensitive personal information, or confidential materials requiring a separate confidentiality agreement. Please arrange an appropriate way to share those materials with us first.
Acceptable use
You must not use the website to:
- Send spam, fraudulent inquiries, unlawful content, or material that infringes another person’s rights.
- Introduce malware, disrupt the website, overload its infrastructure, or interfere with another visitor’s use.
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems, private information, or nonpublic areas of the website.
- Bypass security checks, rate limits, or other measures intended to prevent abuse.
- Misrepresent your identity or imply an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist.
We may restrict access or reject submissions to address misuse, security risks, or legal requirements.
Website content and intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, the website’s branding, text, designs, artwork, and code are owned by Code + Carbon or used with permission. You may view the site and make reasonable personal or internal business reference copies while retaining ownership notices. Other reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial reuse requires permission, except where an applicable license or law allows it.
Third-party materials remain subject to their respective owners’ rights and licenses. Nothing here changes the terms of an open-source license.
Illustrations and external services
Examples identified as concepts, demonstrations, or fictional scenarios illustrate possible work. They are not representations of completed client engagements, live products, or guaranteed outcomes.
The site may link to or use third-party services. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, and we do not control their content or availability. Our Privacy Policy explains this website’s handling of personal information.
Availability and limitations
We aim to keep the website useful and accurate, but information can change or contain errors. We may update, suspend, or discontinue website features. To the extent permitted by law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Code + Carbon is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, this website. These terms do not exclude or limit liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes and questions
We may revise these terms when the website or our requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Changes apply prospectively, subject to any notice or consent required by applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
